As my passion for health and well-being grew due to ill health in 2023 stopping me from being able to work​,​ I launched my consulting business​,​ bringing together business development strategy and wellness to empower individuals and organisations. What a great 6 weeks with Polly! I threw myself into this with my eyes wide open, keen to learn more. I’ve implemented sustainable lifestyle changes with improvements in my diet, the importance of meal planning (seems obvious but trust me we need to think what meals we are planning and are they right for us), some great new tips and recipes. Having regular sessions weekly allowed me to be more accountable and made it easier for me to stay on track. I now have a great toolkit including stress management techniques, understanding my blood sugar spikes, I have better gut health and I have gained greater mental clarity. Overcoming Life's Challenges: How Personal Struggles Shape My Coaching Approach: Life has a way of throwing unexpected challenges our way, testing our strength and resilience at every turn. As I reflect on my journey, I am reminded of the hurdles I faced and the lessons I learned from each experience. Losing a parent at the age of 16, grappling with mental health issues in my 20s, navigating the complications of health problems in my 40s, have all shaped who I am today. Ultimately, these trials fuelled my desire to set an audacious goal: climbing Kilimanjaro for my 40th birthday, a feat that represented overcoming obstacles, both physically and mentally. Through all these experiences, I discovered that trauma, shock, sadness, grief, and pain were not ends in themselves but rather common threads woven into the fabric of resilience. I realised that life would often present uncertain futures; it was my choice on how to respond. Each time adversity struck, I picked myself up, learning to navigate through my challenges with hope as my guiding force. I learned how to dig deep for resilience, curiosity, and adaptability, tools that allowed me to embrace change instead of fearing it. One significant insight emerged from this journey: the undeniable connection between physical and mental health. I came to understand how vital nutrition is, not just for physical wellbeing but also for mental clarity and emotional balance. This revelation transformed my perspective on health and wellness into a holistic approach, one that recognises that everyone’s journey is unique and requires a bespoke path to recovery, change and growth. A Personalised Approach to Coaching With my story as a foundation, I help others overcome their own hurdles. I strive to widen my clients’ scope of vision, making it feel effortless for you to move forward.
